5D Model of our Universe: The Fifth Dimension
5D Model of our Universe: The Fifth Dimension
Show me your hands. Do they have scars from giving? Show me your feet. Are they wounded in
service? Show me your heart. Have you left a place for divine love?
Fulton J. Sheen
In May 2022, when I was interviewed in Los Angeles, inspirational waves flew me to the moon. As a person with a scientific background, I know very well that our 4D model is Time plus Space. Suddenly, during the interview I discovered for me the fifth dimension - the Divine vector. In all my life I feel the presence of God, not an abstract presence but a real and alive participation. The prayers and blessings of the Angel Mother shaped a feeling of nostos in my soul. In ancient Greek nostos means homecoming, return to roots, identity. I returned to the historical homeland of my mother - Greece, I returned HOME.
In 2015, while working on the documentary photography project related to the three Genocides, I visited the Armenian-Turkish bordering village - Margara. An 85-year-man shared the exile story of his family in 1915. 'Do you know why we settled down close to the border?', the man asked me. 'No. Can you share why?' 'My father was born in the village just opposite the border. We thought that one day, when the Armenian-Turkish border would be opened, we would return home.' I was quite surprised but understood: where your heart is, there is your home. Home is not a place, it is a feeling, Divine feeling. The man was Armenian, his parents fled their home and found refuge in Armenia. He said his father was dreaming to be buried under the trees planted by his ancestors. The generations are interconnected, the ties are very strong. Perhaps, one day I will find my home. Who knows?
In 2014 and 2015 while shooting the portraits of Armenian genocide survivors, I felt that my perception of time was changed: the unit of time became a century. I asked a 104-year-old man:
- Who takes care of you?
- An old lady.
- How old is she?
- 62.
I smiled and thought that this hero of my project had a great and sharp sense of humor. When I shared the story with a friend of mine, she said the same regarding her grandfather. I concluded that when people grow and come up to a birth centennial, their perception of time is similar to children's. Perhaps, this 'discovery' can be physiologically justified. I am not sure but the fact of discovering it was interesting and unforgettable. I have a chance to check the mentioned above miracle, but for that I have to live one century.
Something which does not depend on me, but can be considered within the fifth dimension
functioning.
Life is challenging. Sometimes we forget a whole period but remember moments. I could never
imagine that I would feel inspired at the medieval necropolis. In June 2021, I visited Saint
Yeghishe Armenian Church located above Chartar in Artsakh. The church is surrounded by the
medieval necropolis with beautiful gravestones, very spiritual. The view gives us wings to fly.
One feels the infinity of the fifth dimension in the mountains of Nagorno-Karabakh.
The view inspired me to shoot the first documentary, Nostos: This is my Homeland. I was
walking among the graves and exploring the depicted images on the stones. People try to leave
traces, a message to next generations. Could I read the messages from the medieval times? Yes, I
was blessed to feel that my Armenian roots are intertwined with Greek. Two ancient nations
created my imagination, the fifth dimension of my soul and mind.
